In partnership with Verizon Community Forward and Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC) and Rosemary Anderson High School, a local organization committed to the success of at-risk youth & adults, providing the highest quality services in education, family outreach, and employment training.
The New Columbia Learning Center is located in the heart of Home Forward's New Columbia community which is dedicated to providing safe, decent, and affordable housing for individuals and families who are challenged by income, disability or special need.
This learning center is located at 4610 N Trenton St. Portland, 97203
Portland Metro residents, residents in the Portsmouth neighborhood, participants in Hacienda’s Empresarios small business support programming, and students looking for support with distanced learning are all welcome to use the facilities at this learning center.
Opportunities
Monthly distribution of laptops/desktop computers as part of Free Geek program.
$1000.00 grants via OSU.
Advancement to OSU Classes Programming.
Access to Oregon MESA Program.
Access to yearly networking events and job fairs.
Access to Summer Camp opportunities.
Our Partners
Free Geek: provides free laptops and introductory digital literacy classes to first-time computer users. Together we will distribute 20 laptops or desktops and month as well as offer a month long class.
Oregon State University: summer programming with a 20 student cohort in 2021, curriculum support, and educators.
Portland Public Schools: support with student recruitment, educators, and community-based events.
Oregon MESA: after school program for Middle School and High School Youth.
