Bridging the Digital Divide
Hacienda’s Arrobas program is an initiative created to support our community and provide them with resources and education to engage in an increasingly digital world.
What We Do
In 2021 we found that 63% of families we serve in our affordable housing communities and programs access the internet only through their smartphones. This Digital Initiative will provide our community with the needed resources that allow them to access school, fill out job applications online, and manage their businesses.

Our Partners:
Hacienda’s Arrobas, in partnership with Free Geek is helping families access Emergency Broadband Assistance as well as devices like laptops and desktops to ensure our families have fast reliable internet. Arrobas has also partnered with Oregon MESA to provide middle school and high school students with virtual STEM programming to encourage our youth to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In-person programming developed by Oregon State University will soon be offered to middle schools and high schoolers in the Portland Metro area to further this goal.
