SUN Youth Advocacy
For youth grades 5–12
Hacienda CDC, Multnomah County, and local Portland schools partner together to provide case managers to Latino youth in grades 6th to 8th. Bilingual and bicultural case managers advocate for and on behalf of youth in schools. They provide academic support, mentorship, culturally specific activities and presentations, as well as access to after-school enrichment activities that promote a healthy self-image, cultural pride, academic achievement and community involvement.
