Develop and facilitate afterschool and summer soccer-related activities for youth at Hacienda CDC. The soccer coach works collaboratively with community members, youth program staff, and partners. The soccer coach is responsible for organizing daily structured soccer lessons and drills while instilling positive attitudes and a sense of teamwork amongst all youth.
The Hacienda Soccer Coach will be a part-time, temporary employee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and teach, engaging, age-appropriate, soccer skills
Supervise groups of 12-16 students while maintaining school-appropriate decorum
Supervise group routines such as snack time and bathroom breaks
Record daily attendance
Maintain futsal court and program rules to ensure students are safe
Communicate frequently with the Youth and Family Program Manager
Work closely and maintain positive working relationship with Hacienda staff, partners and community members
Work within Hacienda CDC policies
Research and coordinate youth participation in local soccer tournaments
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Experience teaching youth sports, coaching groups of elementary-aged children
Desire and ability to work with children and ensure an enriching, positive, safe setting
Ability to work in an inclusive environment which serves children of all backgrounds and abilities
An independent, self-motivated, and resourceful individual
Ability to work as part of a team
A willingness to ask questions for clarification and job completion
Demonstration of respect and professionalism in all interactions
Must be at least 18 years of age
Bilingual preferred, English/Spanish
