About Edith Quiroz
Edith Quiroz is currently the Executive Director of El Programa Hispano Catolico, one of Oregon’s oldest and largest social service organization serving more than 20,000 people annually with services in Housing, Economic Opportunity, Education, Community Wellness and Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention and Intervention. She leads a team of over 75 staff members all of whom are bilingual and over 95% are bicultural. Edith is also the Founder of ThinkMujer LLC, a Women Business Enterprise (WBE). ThinkMujer supports the professional development of Latina women and offers Empowerment and Leadership Summits and Workshops.
In the last 16+ years Edith has held various leadership roles in non-profit, higher education and government sectors, while building her own consulting practice in non-profit capacity building, leadership and organizational development, strategic planning and executive search.
Edith is bilingual in English and Spanish and is actively involved in the community. In 2004 she founded the Tonalli Radio Talk Show on Portland’s Community Radio Station- KBOO 90.7 FM. and has served on numerous non-profit boards. Edith was born in Mexico City and grew up in The Dalles, Oregon where her parents worked in the fields as seasonal farm workers. Edith is the proud mom of three daughters, an 11 year-old and 9 year-old twins.
