Hacienda CDC Graduates! - 4/2/2010

On Thursday evening March 18th, sixteen adult students from Hacienda's Plaza Comunitaria Adult Education program celebrated their graduation.

Adult Education Graduates

Three students graduated from secondary education (8th grade level), ten from primary education (4th grade) and three from computer literacy classes.

Jacobet Receives Diploma

Graduates received scholarships to continue their education and will go on to pursue various pathways to employment, including vocational training, ESL classes and/or High School diploma equivilants, all offered through culturally-specific programs at Hacienda's Plaza Comunitaria.
 
 
Hacienda's Plaza Comunitaria Adult Education program is made possible through a grant from the Oregon Community Foundation and through partnerships with Mexico's National Institute for Adult Education (INEA),  the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME), the Mexican Consulate's office in Portland, and Portland Community College.
